Place in large bowl:
4 cups flour
1 1/2 cup butter

Cut in as for pastry:
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla

Mix well and chill. Divide into 8 parts. Roll each part into a circle on a board dusted with powdered sugar, cut in to 8 or 12 wedges.

Beat egg whites till fluffy, add 3 Tbsp sifted powdered sugar. Fold in 1 tsp vanilla, brush rolled dough with egg mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, roll each wedge loosely, starting at wide end, brush rolled slice with egg, cinnamon and sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet in a hot oven, 400º for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. ( easier to handle if it is chilled). Lois's note: So here is a trick, roll dough into ball in bottom of bowl. Draw section marks on it as if peeling an orange. Cut out and roll one section at a time.
