30 Oreo cookies
1/2 c. butter ( divided into fourths)
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla ( I use Mexican vanilla)
small pkg. chopped pecans
9 oz. container of Cool Whip

Crush Oreo cookies with a rolling pin. Mix with 1/4 c. of melted butter. Press firmly into bottom of a 13 x 9 pan. Spoon and spread the 1/2 gallon ice cream over the Oreo mixture. Put into the freezer. Then, make a chocolate syrup as follows: heat remaining 1/4 c. of butter with 2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate and 2/3 c. sugar. Gradually, add 2/3 c. evaporated milk. Cook until thick. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Let it cool. Next, take pan out of freezer and spread the chocolate syrup on top of the ice cream layer. Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle with pecans. Cover and freeze. Cut into squares to serve.
