4 large Apples (peeled)
1/2 C. Water
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 C. Butter
1 C. Sugar
3/4 C.Flour
Chopped Nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Slice apples into buttered shallow baking dish 10"x6"x2" or a little larger. Over this pour the water. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix the butter, sugar and flour until crumbly. Spread over apple mixture. Can add chopped nuts. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve when slightly warm to be best. Whipped cream or ice cream is delicious with this.
