Ingredients: 4 Ahi Tuna Steaks 2-3 tsp Canola oil salt freshly ground black pepper 1 cup Furikake (Furikake is a seasoning mix commonly used over rice or sushi. It consists of sesame seeds and seaweed flakes. Don't let the seaweed turn you off this is an awesome dish!)

Directions: |
Directions:Lightly coat the Ahi Tuna with canola oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle a generous amount of furikake over the Ahi, pressing gently to coat all 4 sides well. Place a small sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add 2 – 3 teaspoons of canola oil and swirl to coat the pan. Once the pan is hot and you see a few wisps of smoke, add the ahi tuna steaks to the pan and sear about 1-2 minutes per side. DO NOT cook any longer than that because the tuna will end up dry. Serve with rice. |

Notes: We buy our Furakaki at Costco in Hawaii but I think in the mainland you will have to buy it at an oriental store or a specialty store like Central Market. This is my absolute all time favorite thing to eat and it is super easy to make!
