¾ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. almond extract
2¼ cup flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract.

Whisk flour and baking powder together; slowly add to creamed mixture.

Roll between two sheets of wax paper to about ¼ inch thickness; chill for 1 hour.

Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 350ºF for 8 - 11 minutes until lightly coloured on top and around edges; key is to under cook to keep soft.

Ice as desired.
