1/2 cup Oleo
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 cups Flour
2 tsp. Soda
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Cloves
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 1/2 cups Canned Applesauce
1 cup Chopped Pecans
1 cup Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together oleo and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add the dry ingredients that have been sifted or stirred together. Add alternately with the applesauce. remove from mixer and stir in raisins and nuts. Bake in a cake 9x13 inch pan that has been lightly greased for 25 minutes. Cool and frost with the following recipe, Applesauce Squares Carmel Frosting.
