One pound one package of lasagna noodles
½ pound of Italian sausage (hot) or if you prefer sweet) the hot adds a little zip
½ pound of ground beef
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup dry red wine 
1 (26 oz) jar of your favorite pasta sauce any flavor
1 16oz container of Ricotta or cottage cheese (I add a bit more)
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs
2 tablespoon chopped parsley
¼ teaspoon of pepper
4 cups (one pound) shredded Mozzarella cheese

Cook lasagna noodles as package says, drain. Preheat oven to 350º.
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown meat, pour out fat. Add garlic, oregano, salt, and wine. Cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in pasta sauce, simmer 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
In a medium bowl, combine Ricotta or cottage cheese, parmesan. eggs, parsley, and pepper, stir well.
On bottom of a greased 13 x 9 baking dish, spread 3/4 cup meat sauce. Top with half each of the lasagna strips, ricotta cheese mixture, remaining meat sauce and mozzarella.
Repeat layering.
Bake uncovered 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Let stand 10 minutes.
10-12 servings.
