1 head Romaine lettuce (or 1/2 iceberg, 1/2 Romaine)
1/4 medium onion
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 small can mandarin oranges
1/4 c. slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Place the following in blender: onion, dry mustard, sugar, salt and vinegar. Blend approximately 30-45 seconds. Turn off blender and add 1/4 of the oil and blend again. Turn off blender. Add rest of oil and blend 3-4 minutes. Sugar should be dissolved, not gritty. Rinse lettuce, take out stems and chop. Chill 15 minutes. Take out and add oranges and almonds. Serve dressing on side or over salad.
