3 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1 c Sprite
2 tbsp. almond (or lemon) extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º.

Cream together sugar, butter and shortening; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and Sprite alternately. Add extract. Bake in Bundt pan 1 hour and 20 minutes. Allow cake to cook 10 minutes before taking out of pan.

Laura made this for a Scout get together several years ago and it became one of Drew's favorite. Taste a lot like Memaw's Pound Cake, but quicker to fix.
