Margarine or Butter (as needed to butter bread)
10 slices of Bread (I use cinnamon-raisin)
2 Eggs
1 1/2 cups Half & Half
1 1/2 cups chunky Applesauce
1/3 cup Sugar
2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

Caramel Sauce:
2/3 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1/2 cup light Corn Syrup
1/2 cup Half & Half
2 Tbsp. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly butter half the bread and place, buttered side up, in 8" x 8" baking dish. Beat together eggs and other non-caramel sauce ingredients. Pour half of the mixture over the bread. Add another layer of buttered bread. Pour the rest of the mixture over it. Bake at 350º for about 60 minutes or until lightly browned.

Caramel Sauce:
Heat ingredients in pan to boiling, over medium heat. Makes one quart. Serve over bread pudding.
