3/4 cup oleo
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
Filling
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup pineapple juice
3/4 to 1 cup crushed pineapple well drained
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp lemon juice
Frosting:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs(one at a time) beating well. Then milk, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Bake in 3 layers in sheet pan at 350º about 20 min.
Filling: mix all ingredients together in saucepan. Bring to rolling boil and boil for 1 min, stirring constantly. Chill before using on cooled cake.
Frosting:
Boil slowly without stirring sugar, water, lght corn syrup until spins a thread. Beat two egg whites stiff. Pour syrup over and heat add vanilla
