2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsps.sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients the flour and baking powder. Combine the sugar and the butter and rub into the dry ingredients, mix in egg, and milk gradually. Add the raisins before binding altogether with the milk.
Roll on light floured surface to 1/2 inch thick. Cut to size or shape in palm.
Place on greased baking sheet and brush tops with milk. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at a 400º oven
