1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage (or hot)
3/4 c. Oats, uncooked
1/2 onion, chopped
1 egg
Salt & pepper
2 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
3 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix beef,sausage, oats, onion, egg, salt and pepper and 1 can tomato sauce. Knead well, then form into a loaf (I like to form into 4 smaller loafs so it bakes quicker). Bake at 350º for 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours for the large loaf. Combine remaining sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Baste loaf occasionally with sauce. Pour remaining sauce on top of loaf for last 1/2 hour of baking.
