2 c. sugar
3/4 c.shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
1 c. sweet berries
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add well beaten eggs. Add sweetened berries. Add soda to sour milk. Add spices and baking powder to flour. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour milk and soda. Last add hot water. Bake in loaf or layers.
