4 c water
2 heaping cups of cornmeal (not mix)
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water and salt in saucepan. Take water off of heat and Pour cornmeal slowly into water stirring rapidly until smooth. Leave the mixture in the saucepan until cooled. Run knife around edge of mush to loosen from pan and then flip onto plate.

Slice and fry mush in shortening until golden brown. Top with butter and salt and enjoy!
