Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 packages Fleschmans dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1/4 c. Crisco
2 tbsp. sugar
3 or 4 c. Flour (perhaps more)
Warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 c. Warm water. Be sure water is not hot(kills the yeast). Next mix 1 c. Warm water with salt, sugar, crisco, and the 1/4 c. Of water with yeast in it. Then add enough flour to make a soft dough but don't add all of flour in at one time since it will be hard to mix. If this isn't enough flour to make a soft dough add some more. Then I usually add some flour to my hands and knead the dough until it is in a ball, put it on waxed paper, where you have sprinkled flour and knead and knead the dough. This mixes everything well and then it will rise better. Grease a pan or bowl with crisco then put your ball of dough in it to grease one side of dough and turn the dough over so you will have a smooth side up. Put the pan or bowl in a warm place and let it set there until it doubles in size. Then knead it again and put back in pan to rise again. Knead again. Then make rolls by pinching off enough dough to make a little ball. Melt some crisco in a baking pan and make enough little balls to fill your pan but don't crowd them because they will spread out as they rise. Bake on bottom rack at 325º until brown.

Personal Notes:
This recipe was hand written from Grandma Ruby Akin so I wanted to use her exact wording to keep it extra special! She would make these super yummy rolls every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and there were never any leftover!
