1 1/2 sticks margarine (melted)
1 cup warm milk
2 egg yolks
3 cups flour

Filling
diced apples
sugar
cinnamon
crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers, chopped nuts, coconut, raisin (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and chill in refrigerator for about 3 hours or longer. Divide dough in 3 portions. Take out one to work with and place the two remaining ones into refrigerator to keep cold.

Place a clean cloth on the table, sprinkle generously with flour and roll it with a rolling pin as thin as possible.

Brush the rolled out dough with butter and spread with filling.

Pick up cloth at one side, lift slowly toward the other side. Seal by pinching dough together. Pick up strudel carefully and place it on a greased baking pan. Brush top with butter. Bake about 40 minutes in a moderate oven.

Spread layer of diced apples on rolled out dough, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and crushed vanilla wafers, chopped nuts, coconut, raisins
