Directions:
In three quart Dutch oven ,saute onion in butter until tender.Stir in flour. Add water and potatoes Bring to a boil gently simmer 15 minutes until potatoes are tender. Add fish, half and half, evaporated milk, scallops and shrimp. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with paprika and parsley. Note: Sometimes I add 2 fried crumbled bacon strips,3/4 c drained canned corn. This dish didn't last long in my house. Served with a salad and fresh bread it was a favorite. This dish gets even better when allowed to simmer in crockpot. Note: If you would like the chowder thicker ,add a slurry of cornstarch and milk, example 2 tblsp cornstarch and milk, mixed and added to chowder stirring until desired thickness.
