14 Tbsp butter
2 C sugar, divided
1/3 C molasses
2 1/2 C flour
1 1/4 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 lg egg slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º Cover baking sheet with foil. In medium pan melt butter remove from heat and add 1 C sugar and molasses. Cool 15 minutes or until tepid. Mix dry ingredients.Beat butter into egg and gradually add flour, dough will be stiff. Shape into 1" balls and roll in sugar. Place on foil & bake 10-12 minutes or until cookies have flattened. Makes about 5 dozen.
