2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/4 cup veg oil
2 quarts water3 chicken bouillon cubes

Ingredients for Sauce
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 cup whole milk
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. dumpling water

Directions:
Directions:
Dumplings: Mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk and oil, blend well; turn out on floured surface. Kneed 4 to 5 times, divide dough into two pcs. Roll out one pc. 1/8 inch thick cut into 1 x 1 1/2 inch dumplings. In a large saucepan combine water and bouillon cubes. Boil until dissolved. Cook half dumplings until done. Dumplings are done when they float towards the top. Repeat for second batch.

Sauce: Melt butter in med. saucepan. Add salt and flour, stir until thick. Mix sugar with milk, add to flour a little at a time. Stir constantly with whisk until thick and smooth. Dissolve crumbled bouillon cake in dumpling water, add to flour mixture stir gently until smooth. Remove from heat and add dumplings.
