In a 9 x 13 inch pan at 325 degrees:
2 c sugar
2 c flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 c cooking oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 c finely grated carrots
(1/2 c nuts, chopped)
Icing:
2 c icing sugar
1/4 c butter soft
1 pkg (4 oz) Philadelphia cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Sift dry ingredients together. Make a well in center and add remaining ingredients. Mix well, and pour into prepared cake pan (greased). Bake until toothpick comes out clean when tested in center of cake.
Icing: Cream ingredients together to spreading consistency. Ice cake when cook and serve
