3 cups sugar
2 cups white vinegar
2 tablespoons salt (not iodized)
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
6 long, thin cucumbers
2 large onions, sliced and separated into rings

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and cut ends off cucumbers. Slice and place in a large bowl.

Pour marinade consisting of sugar, white vinegr, salt, celery seed, and onions over cucumbers. Let stand for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Put in jars or a plastic covered dish. Refrigerate. Let stand for 24 hours before eating.

Pickles keep 1 year in refrigerator.
