2 c. yellow or white corn meal
¼ c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
¼ c. vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Place dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Slowly pour boiling water over mixture while stirring until mixture is stiff but soft enough to form into small pones with wet hands. Heat vegetable oil and fry pones until brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
