4 cups milk
1 can (16 oz) evaporated milk
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup of fruit or flavoring item

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare a small cooler with 2" or more of ice with 1/4 cup of salt sprinkled over top of it. Make a nest for metal bowl to fit into, keeping the lip of the bowl even with top of ice. Beat eggs with sugar. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to boil. Cool. Pour into metal bowl in prepared cooler. Close lid. Stir every 5 minutes until thick. Makes 4 Quarts. Can Divide base and do different flavors just be sure the bowls do not touch in cooler and they are all level with ice.
