catsup
black pepper
4-5 strips bacon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In baking dish, combine the beans, chopped onion, brown sugar and pepper. I use quite a bit of pepper in my beans. Add approximately 1/2-1 c. catsup. Taste and add brown sugar or catsup to suit your sweetness level. Lay strips of bacon across the top of the beans.

Bake uncovered until beans are bubbly and have thickened somewhat (about 45 mins. to an hour).
