1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
3/4 C Quaker Oats
1/4 C Onions chopped
3/4 C tomato sauce
1 egg beaten
1 T Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves
1/4 C catsup
1/4 C chopped green peppers
1/2 t salt to taste
1/4 t pepper to taste

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all ingredients. Press into pan into loaf shape.
Cut carrots or potatoes and put around meatloaf. Put additional diced onions, green peppers, carrots on top of meatloaf. Put a generous mix of tomato sauce and catsup on top meatloaf and carrots or potatoes. Salt and pepper. Put lid on casserole or alum foil. Remove for last 15 min.
Bake 1 hour. Drain and let stand 5 minutes.

I like to make mashed potatoes and gravy. To make the gravy I normally use Lipton Onion Mushroom mix. I add the mix plus 2 Tablespoons flour and two cups water. Heat to medium and simmer till thick.
