1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. sifted flour
candied cherries (cut into small pieces)

Directions:

Cream butter; add sugar gradually. Blend in the flour. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press a small piece of candied cheery into each cookie. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees for about 12 min. These cookies are best when fresh and should be made only a day or two before Christmas. Yield: 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
