2 1/2 c. Flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, chilled
1 egg yolk
2/3 c. milk
Filling:
1 c. crushed cornflakes cereal
8 c. thinly sliced apples, peeled and cored
1 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 egg white
2 T. Sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Icing:
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350º F.
In a medium bowl flour and salt, cut in butter with pastry blender until mealy. With a fork stir in the milk and egg yolk. Divide dough in half, roll out to large rectangles. The larger one place carefully in a bottom and up sides of a 9x13" baking pan. Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; arrange evenly on crust in pan. Create a lattice crust on top of apples with remaining rectangular crust or cover with full crust. Brush crust with egg white and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and sugar combined. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until crust is lightly browned. Combine icing ingredients, drizzle over warm bars. Serve and enjoy! For a half sheet pan make 1 1/2 times the crust and 9 c. apples.
