1 cup shortening
1 heaping cup sugar
2 beaten eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar, beaten eggs, milk and vanilla. In separate bowl mix 4 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/3 tsp. salt.

Combine the flour mixture with shortening mixture. Roll out dough. Cut into shapes. Bake at 375º until light golden brown. (6-9 min.?) Frost with your favorite frosting.

Marnie was one of my secretaries when I was Relief Society President. She brought these to a number of events and everyone commented on how soft and good they were. Plus they don't have to be refrigerated like many other sugar cookie recipes.
