1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Topping:
6 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and 1/2 c. sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Add baking powder and salt; mix well. Add milk and flour alternately. Drop by tablespoon in greased muffin tins. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. While still warm, roll muffins in melted butter, then dip in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Best when served warm.
