1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
8 pieces of bread
melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat together 1/2 cup sugar and 1 egg.
Spread 8 pieces of bread with melted butter on both sides and then spread sugar and egg mixture on top of bread. Top each piece of bread with coconut.
Bake in oven until brown; watch carefully so it doesn't burn.

This is such a simple recipe but if you like coconut you will really enjoy this!
Also, mom used white bread when she made it but I'm sure any bread would work and be yummy!
