1 generous cup sugar
1 generous T white karo
1/2 c water in saucepan--Boil on high heat for approx 5 min

Remove from heat and add 1/2 stick butter, t vanilla.

Cool for 10 to 15 minutes.

Add 1-1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar.

Frost cake while still warm.

Cover with chopped nuts optional
