3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsps butter

Mix first 5 ingredients. Heat milk & butter to boiling. Blend into cake mixture. Pour in greased 9 x 9 pan. Bake in 325º oven for 25 minutes

This is a very moist versatile cake. Great for strawberry shortcake (I use it for this all the time), trifle,or frost and use just as an ordinary white cake. Freezes well.
