4 tbsp butter
40 peeled garlic cloves
1 whole chicken
1 fresh rosemary sprig
6 fresh thyme springs
salt
pepper
1/2 Cup dry white wine
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
cooking spray

Directions:

1. Line bottom and side of 6 quart oval slow cooer with aluminum foil. Allow for aluminum to extend over sides. Lightly grease foil with cooking spray.
2. Pour 3 tbsp melted butter in slow cooker, sprinkle garlic over butter. Add thyme, and rosemary. Place chicken in cooker, breast side up on herbs.
3. Brush 1 tbsp melted butter over chicken and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add chicken stock and wine to slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

When I first started working as a nurse, I bought a slow cooker so that I could cook dinner while I was sleeping. This was one of the recipes that I would cook. It was fast to prepare and easy to cook!
