1 gallon water
3/4 cup brown cane sugar (or if in Costa Rica, purchase a “tapa de dulce”)
8 ˝ ounces or 1 cup ginger, diced and crushed
1 cup lemon juice (fresh)

Directions:
Directions:
1 Boil half a gallon of water with the sugar and ginger. Cook until the sugar has dissolved and the ginger has been infused—about 20 minutes.
2 Let cool
3 Strain using a metal colander
4 Add fresh lemon juice and serve with ice.

Agua de Sapo is a typical Costa Rican drink in the region of Limon on Atlantic side. Though the translation in English for Agua de Sapo means Frog Water, it includes only cane sugar, water, ginger and lemon.
