2 large Chayotes
a half cup of grated Mozzarella cheese
a half cup of grated soft cheese
a half cup of sugar
2 spoons-full of sugar
a half cup of natilla (or Cream cheese as a substitute)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut both Chayotes in half, lengthwise, and cook them in boiling water with a dash of salt, when ready, remove the pulp, trying to not break the rind. Mash the pulp together with the soft cheese, butter, natilla and sugar. Fill the rinds with the purée, cover with the mozzarella cheese and finally brown them in a oven.

Chancletas can be translated as "Slippers", and its main ingredient is the Chayote or (Christophines). Cultivated for exportation, this vegetable is used at great length in Costa Rican recipes.
