Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups of flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
˝ cup sugar
˝ cup of oil
1 shot glass of whiskey (rye or bourbon)
2 hot glasses of Anisette
1 bottle of honey – enough to fill half of a deep pot
Oil for frying – preferably in a deep fryer
Sprinkles
Round 9” disposable pie pan
9” paper Doily

Directions:
Directions:
Before you begin with the dough, you should heat oil in deep fryer on medium. Mix all the ingredients together, except the honey. Kneed dough and roll into a skinny long roll. Cut into small pieces, about ˝ inches thick. Take each one of the small pieces and roll in your handles in a round marble like shape. Place in oil until they are golden brown, take them out of the oil and drain on a paper towel.

Place paper doily at the bottom of the 9”inch disposable pan. Place honey in a deep pot and bring to a boil. Stir in Struffellas and when they are completely covered with the honey, remove them using a slotted spoon to remove excess honey and place them in the disposable pan. You want to create a pyramid or cone shape with the Struffellas. Once they are all in the pan, sprinkle with the sprinkles. Serve at room temperature.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The honey balls should be very small - like the size of peas. This is a great holiday recipe.
