Ingredients: ½ lb. butter (melted) 1 cup of sugar 4 eggs + 1 egg to use at the end with Sesame seeds ¼ cup of orange juice 4 tsp. baking powder 5 cups of flour ( a little more for rolling board) 1 tsp. of Vanilla Sesame Seeds (2-3 jars or if you buy them in a bakery – about 1 lb.) Pam

Directions:Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Melt butter and stir until cool, gradually mix in sugar. Place flour in a mixing bowl. Add 4 well beaten eggs, mix baking powder to the flour. Alternate placing into the mix juice and vanilla until all has been added. Dough should be the consistency to roll when done but not sticky. Take about one inch round of dough and roll into whatever shape you want. We do twists, braids and pretzel shapes. Spray cookie trays with Pam. Place each of your shapes onto cookie bake sheet. Beat egg and using a pastry brush, brush each shape with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Put in oven at 375 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. |
