2½ cups flour
1½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
1¼ cup oil
2 cups sugar
2 cups fresh or canned apple
1 cup nuts
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 cup brandy

Sift dry ingredients. Beat oil, eggs and sugar. Add apples, nuts, vanilla and brandy. Spread batter in greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

This recipe was given to me by one of my clients, when I had the beauty shop in Meriden. My father-in-law (Robert Lewis) suggested I use peaches and peach brandy. I did, and it was delicious. When Bob was in the hospital after a bad car wreck, this is what he requested I bring him in the hospital.
