4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 scant c. water
1/2 c. golden syrup (corn syrup, lyles syrup)
1 tin eagle brand condensed milk
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, sugar, and water in pot and add syrup. Bring to boil then add condensed milk. Simmer 30 minutes on low. (Test small amount in cold water, it should form soft ball when ready) Remove from heat, and beat till glossy. Pour on greased cookie sheet. Can add vanilla, rum, nuts, coconut, peppermint etc.
