3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. raisins
1 full c. sugar
1 c. cold water
3/4 c. vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix as dry ingredients together, add raisins, mix water and oil together then add and mix. Place in greased oven proof bowl or tie in cheese cloth. Place in boiling water and steam for 3 hours.

This was what I had as birthday cake growing up and Granny used to hide nickels and dimes in it wrapped in wax paper :)
