2 cups cooked rice
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. ground pork

1 can 14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Put a large pot of water on to boil. Core the cabbage. When water boils put cored cabbage in just long enough to soften leaves

In a large bowl mix meat together. Saute the onion in a small amount of olive oil and cool. Then add to meat mixture. Add the eggs, rice, and seasonings. Put 1/2 can of tomato sauce in the meat mixture.

Peel off outer layers of cabbage. Trim hard ridge. Lay leaves out flat. Put a portion of meat in near base of leaf. Fold leaf over and fold sides in and roll. Continue until all leaves used.

Mix together the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. You can pour some sauce in bottom of crock pot and layer rolls. Pour remaining sauce over and cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 8 hrs.

You can also cook in over roaster with lid for at least 90 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can put some cooked bacon between the layers for flavor or sauerkraut if desired, You can also use all beef if you do not want pork. Feel free to add more tomato sauce if needed. Also can add some fresh tomatoes if available.
