"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5 boxes of Jello (Different colors depending on the season)
8 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
Water

Directions:
Directions:
For each box of Jello: Dissolve 1 envelope gelatin in 2 Tbsp. cold water. Dissolve one box Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add the gelatin mixture. Stir until completely dissolved. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Let set in the refrigerator. Try to make sure it is as level as possible. (HINT: If I am making this when there is snow on the ground, I let it set outside in the snow. It is easy to make a level spot and it doesn’t take up so much room in my fridge.)
For the white layers in between: Dissolve 3 packages of gelatin in ¼ cup cold water. Add 1 ¾ cups boiling water to one can of condensed milk. Add the gelatin. This should make 800 mls. of liquid. Pour 200 mls. on top of each Gelatin layer. (HINT: I make this in a large measuring cup. As the amount of liquid decreases, the mixture tends to gel. To make it more liquid, I put it in my microwave and heat it for about 1 min. on defrost.) Alternate the colors of Jello with the white layers, making sure that each layer sets before adding the next layer.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Suggested color combinations: Christmas: Green, Red, and White
Halloween: Orange, Yellow, and Black
Valentines: Red and White
Easter: Yellow, Purple, and White
St. Patrick's Day: Green and White
These are only suggestions. Let your imagination run wild! This can take a bit of time to make but most of the time is waiting for the layers to set. Patience is well rewarded.
