3 large onions, sliced
1 c. chopped bacon (uncooked)
6 lbs. of beef cut in pieces (it should have a few bones and fat to give flavor)
1 liter of port wine
1/2 lb. of butter
1 bay leaf
4 pepper corns
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 beef bouillon cube
2 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 cinnamon stick

Directions:
Directions:
Rub inside of pot with butter. Put half of the onions and bacon at the bottom. Put meat in and sprinkle with spices. Finish with the rest of onions and bacon and pats of butter. Pour the wine on top making sure that all is covered in liquid. Cove the pot with foil and make tow cuts. Cook at 325º for 4 hours.
