Personal Notes:
When the Loran children were young the family ate a lot of eggs from Grandma's many laying chickens. Apparently, young Fidelis had a weak stomach. The kids would be peeling hard boiled eggs around the table and Helen would yell, "Feathers!" Fidelis would retch, slap his hand over his mouth and run out the door to be sick. Sr. Andrea (Helen) said she always got a good scolding from Grandma, but it was always so funny she just couldn't help herself. She can't remember how it all got started.
