2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. water
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (6 oz. pkg. chocolate morsels
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook butter, sugar and water in heavy sauce pan, stirring until mixture reaches 300 degrees on thermometer. Add vanilla and stir. Pour on buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chocolate morsels and use a knife to smooth chocolate over candy. Sprinkle chopped nuts. Press nuts into chocolate. Cool and break into small pieces.

This is my favorite candy and easy to make. Berta remembers Aunt Ruth making a similar candy and wrapping the pieces in wax paper. She would make at Christmas.
