Ingredients: 1 cup milk 1 cup water ¾ sugar 1 cup Crisco 6 cups SIFTED flour 2 eggs, beaten 2 t. salt ½ cup lukewarm water 2 packages active dry yeast

Directions:Stir and set aside until yeast rises.
Heat milk, water and Crisco until Crisco begins to melt. Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Stir in hot mixture along with dissolved yeast and eggs until mixture stays together. Knead until smooth. Place dough in a large greased bowl. Allow dough to rise until doubled in size (about 4 hours or overnight). Knead dough roll on floured board, cut with a cookie cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Allow rolls to rise once more (about 3 hours). Bake in 350 degrees oven for approximately 12 minutes or until brown. |
