4 c cherries
1 c sugar ( 1 1/4 c for sour cherry )
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pastry for double crust

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients for filling. (TIP put sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large ziplock bag and toss to coat )
Put filling in a deep pastry lined pie pan.
Put on top crust and flute edges.
Brush with milk and sprinkle with raw sugar.
Cut vent slits on top of crust.

Bake 425º for 25 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and bake 25-30 minutes more.

Matt found this recipe after he found the cherry trees we didn't know existed when we were living on Mount Bethel Rd in Weston, MO. A couple days later he found 4 or 5 more trees, turns out, though, they were wild plums. (looked just like cherries!) Lucky we have a cherry tree in the orchard.
