1 medium onion
3 slices bread, crumbled
1 egg
2 lbs. ground meat
1/4 tsp.. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 of (8 oz) can tomato sauce

Topping
1/2 of (8 Oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
2 Tbsp. brown sugar (or more if desired)

Peel and chop onion finely. Pull bread into crumbs. Beat egg until bubbly. Add onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce,1 tsp. dry mustard and 1/2 can tomato sauce into the ground meat. Mix together with a fork. Pack meat mixture in a casserole dish, poking holes in the top.
Topping:
Mix ingredients together and pour over the meat. (I usually add more brown sugar than recipe calls for.) Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees.
