Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; stir in the brown sugar. Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly. Add egg and ground almonds; mix with a fork. Reserve 1/2 cup mixture for lattice and into it mix 2 Tbsp. additional flour; chill 1 hour. Meanwhile, press remaining mixture evenly into a 9x9 inch pan. Spread with raspberry jam. Roll out reserved mixture onto well floured surface to 1/4-inch. Cut into strips less than 1/4-inch wide. For lattice top, line up 11 strips across filling; then lay 11 strips diagonally across. Combine egg yolk and water; brush over lattice for glaze. Bake at 375 degrees about 25 minutes or until done. Cool; cut into bars or squares.
